St. Petersburg is an important logistics hub, Russia's largest automotive cluster, and is considered the information technology capital of Russia. Not only since the relocation of Gazprom headquarters to Saint Petersburg in 2018, more and more domestic and foreign companies from the energy industry are following suit and a new energy cluster is emerging here. Solar energy on the verge of a major expansion in Russia

Just before the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged that the country will reach carbon neutrality by 2060. A new program to support renewables has been implemented in September. This program is especially focussing on solar power.
