Battery-as-a-Service pioneer Swobbee receives nearly €6 million from EIT InnoEnergy and existing investor
EIT InnoEnergy is contributing just under EUR 3 million to the total financing, while the existing investor is contributing a similar amount. With the newly raised capital, Swobbee plans to proceed with the development of its battery platform and massively expand its battery swap station network for electric micromobility in Germany and its European neighbors.
Berlin plans to add 2000 public charging stations until 2030
The state of Berlin has comissioned an increase in public charging stations for electromobility. This includes a special focus on fast charging stations in all Berlin districts. All charging points created in public spaces must remain equally and conveniently accessible for all users with conventional charging cables (“Berlin model”).
One year of subsidy program for private wallboxes in Germany
Just under a year ago, in November 2020, the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) launched its first funding program for the installation of charging devices on private residential buildings. By the end of the funding program, applications for almost one million charging points had been submitted to the KfW project management agency and approved.

Berlin launched its “Berlin Quantum Alliance” in order to strengthen the research and development of quantum technologies in Germany’s capital.

Urban Tech Republic becomes a test area for automated and connected driving
Our partner the “Urban Tech Republic ” is starting a brand new project on smart mobility: The airport site will in the future offer a unique opportunity to test new mobility in conjunction with artificial intelligence (AI) under real conditions. The new project will investigate the implementation of automated on-demand transport for distances to public transport stations.
“Shaping the Berlin of tomorrow together” on November 9
The Berlin CityLAB is hosting an online event on November 9th on the Smart City Berlin: the city writes a new strategy. Under the motto “Berlin livable smart” the city of Berlin is developing a new smart city strategy funded by the BMI. The event “Shaping the Berlin of tomorrow together” is part of the Berlin Science Week.
Global Moped Sharing Market Report 2021 digital launch event on November 2, 4 pm CET
INVERS and mopedsharing.com launching the 5th edition of the annual Global Moped Sharing Market Report.
